Managing your digital footprint


It is becoming increasingly important that we keep our digital footprint 'tidy'. Our footprints, or whatever we 'leave behind' on the internet can stay there forever, and once posted, we lose control over who sees it.

    do you really have a private life online because t is cartoon and tells you the things in a funny way.
    if you delete it, it can never be deleted.
    Don't share my passwords with anyone.

    We liked caught in the web because it shows what will happen if you are not careful. We didn't know your friends personal setting will effect your personal settings.
    Rule no.1: Keep personal stuff like passwords secret.
    Rule no.2: Only talk to people that you know.

    i didnt know that once you post something it can never be ddeleted

    lost princess- because it was very realistic and involved real stories
    i didnt know that you cant really delete something

    I liked "caught in the web" because it tells us that to be careful and to not to share any personal details eg- mobile numbers. I didn't know that if you delete it, it can reappear any time!

    Guidelines for managing footprint:

    1- Keep all "speeches" appropriate always!
    2- Make good decisions,, eg- what picture to post? etc....

    I liked the "Everyone Knows Sarah" video because it tells you the truth about how the internet is not private and you have no control once you post it'.
    One thing i know now: The internet is never private
    One rule: To never share any personal information with strangers. Have respect for not only other people but for yourself. -Seryn

    We both liked the third video the best because it was really informative and simple.
    We both didn't know once a post is online it can never go away.
    Rule1-Never be tagged in a video/photo with illegal/inappropriate things in it
    Rule2-Don't share passwords or make them available online
